Thank the Lord

First and foremost I want to Thank the Lord for all the wonderful things he does in our lives. I want the Thank him for keeping me and my family out of harms way. He has blessed us like no other, and most of all he has given me a loving family. With that being said I want to personally introduce my daughter Kaylee Elise Garza. You have probably already heard about her on my wife's blog, but being so busy I have not been able to update my blog. My daughter was born April 3, 2009 weighing 4lbs 6oz at about 3:35pm. She is so beautiful that most of the time I just want to eat her up! I Thank God for her because she is a blessing to mine and maggie's lives.

If you don't have a facebook account go get one. If you say well i already have a myspace account, well I got news for you MYSPACE is so last year. Facebook lets you really keep in touch with your friends and family. I am on there most of the day along with everyone else.

thats all for now

Schools are really killing creativity

Watching this video really impacted my thinking. When he says "Someone else would have gave her some pills and told her to calm down" sometimes we have to keep our eyes open to creativity.

LMBO = Laughing My Butt Off and NSFK = Not Safe For Kids

I just got done laughing my butt off with this video. This is probably the 10 or 20th time i've watched this video. If you actually pay attention to what he says, he is actaully a pretty smart guy even though his lyrics are gross or perverted. Anyways this is one of those guys who just started making video's on youtube and now is probably making a pretty good living doing that. Every time we watch his video we are making him money.

:) Enjoy

Digital Learners

I have been watching these kinds of video's for a while, being in the Education realm of technology it has really opened my eyes. Teachers of tomorrow need to pay attention to whats going on around them and adapt instead of teach the same way they have been teaching for the last 100 years.

WARNING: This video is long

I began watching most if not all of the TED video's after I saw this video. In this video Bill Gates the X-CEO of Microsoft is now trying to save the world. I was really intrigued by the second part of this video and think that he is moving in the right direction. If you ever get a chance take a look at some more TED video's.

Thanks

Blogs in plain English

I saw this video and really like the way it explains what a blog really is. I don't say this much because it sounds like I'm a THEORIST or something, but I really think we are at the verge of some big changes in the way we live. My next couple of posts will be these really good video's I find on youtube. I hope you can enjoy them.

Why the ads?

Look i'm not a big fan of these stupid Google Ads, but yes they are purposely put on this page. Why? you might ask. Well they make me some extra money when you click on them. So if you want to support my blog you can click on the ads and just check the sites out. If you don't want to you don't have to, just skip over there, but they are there to make me money and all you really have to do is click on them. Now I know i'm not a great blogger, but there are some people that just live off these Google Ads. Every time you click them I get points, and when I get a certain amount of points I get a couple pennies.

Thanks

First Five by: Maggie Garza

The first FIVE people to respond to this post will get something made by me (or my child)! My choice. For you. This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:

1- I make no guarantees that you will like what I make!
2- What I create will be just for you.
3- It'll be done this year. (might be a little while)
4- You have no clue what it's going to be.It may be a story. It may be poetry, shoes, bags, or a little invention of my own! I may draw or paint something. I may bake you something and mail it to you. Who knows? Not you, that's for sure!
5- I reserve the right to do something extremely strange. Believe me... it may blow your mind!

The catch? Oh, the catch is that you must repost this on your blog and offer the same to the first 5 people who do the same on your blog. The first 5 people to do so and leave a comment telling me they did win a FAB-U-LOUS homemade gift by me! Oh, and be sure to post a picture of what you win when you get it! Sounds like fun, right? So, let's play!

Windows 7 Beta Verdict

Here at work we are windows based which means all of our computers have windows operating system on them. We usually run windows XP which is supposed to be the most stable operating system for microsoft. A few days ago my boss asked me if I wanted to install Windows 7 beta since he has been testing it on his home computer. I said sure I'll give it a shot. So here is a screen shot of it on my computer.

First impression was great. Boot-up time was super fast, thats always a plus. I installed a few things and install times seemed to be faster, shut down times as well were alot faster than XP. Faster boot up and shut down times mean happier people, so thats a big plus for windows. I have installed all my software now and I must say I'm impressed. Graphics are nice, and has alot of added features that FINALLY aren't copies of other operating systems. Although deep down inside I still think they want to be like Mac OS, I'll have to give them props for doing a pretty good job on this beta. Until further notice .... take care.

New office furniture! I am high maintenance.

So after me and my officemate Eric got a new and improved office, we are just now getting our new furniture. Brutzmans came and assembled it and they looked very nice, only I didn't like facing the back wall of my office, so I graciously asked Eric if he would switch me desk's and he said ok. After switching desks I was a happy camper, and Eric turns around and says, " Man, your high mainenance." While I don't think i'm high maintenance, I did not want to face the wall with my back to the door. Well over all I love the new desks and though I'd take a picture of my new digs for you all.

Glad To be Back Home!

Let me tell you that I am so glad to be back home. We packed up and headed for Mexico December 6th with a trailer and two four wheelers.
After a 48 hour drive with 4 hours of sleep we finally got to our destination of Mission, TX where we spent the night with my lovely sister Sandra ( Thanks Sandra for your Hospitality). Luckily my wonderful pregnant wife didn't get two cramped up on the road trip. The next day my wife went out shopping in the "centrito" which is spanish for the place to spend all your money on cheap stuff. My wife bought herself a nice purse because she was due for one.
And then off to the great country of MEXICO. We had a wonderful trip full of potholes and roads the width of my drive way. Finally we were home at my dad's house. We stayed in my brother Ben's room...
Wish I had better pics, but thats all we took. Needless to say the weather was really good, we had 85-90 degree weather most of the time with beautiful sunny skies.

So we finally came back another 48 hour drive with a 9 Hour break in Provo, UT Fairfield Inn. Thank God we made it back safely. To find out the next morning the the trailer tire was on the verge of blowing up because of damage. Anyhow we had alot of great times and now its time to get back into the daily grind.

Hello Pasco? Whats this white stuff? lol
There are more pics, but i'm tired of adding them. Maybe on myspace later on.
